About Saat Seed Loaf Mix
Our mix is a blend of 100% gluten free oats* and five types of seeds. We have done the hard work so that your job is as easy as possible, simply mix in two cups of water, let it sit and bake.
Our mission was to make the simplest GF bread alternative available – high in nutrients and low in hassle. We believe that healthy should be simple. Saat Seed Loaf is easy to make, easy to clean up, fun for the kids and deliciously versatile. It can be cooked in a bread pan to make our traditional seed bread, or on your oven tray to make crackers, biscuits and even pizza base!
Saat Seed Loaf toasts amazingly well, making it the perfect breakfast option. Slice and store in the freezer to be on hand whenever a hungry mouth needs feeding.
*We use Myprotein’s (UK) Gluten Free Oats, which are grown in conditions that assure no contamination from wheat and then tested again for gluten to ensure their purity. Please be advised that a small percentage of people with coeliac disease may not tolerate even the purest of oats due to the presence of Avenin, which is a protein similar to gluten. If you are unsure whether oats are suitable for your diet, please check first with your health advisor before eating them.
Empty your Saat Seed Loaf Mix into a large bowl. Add 2 cups of water and mix thoroughly.
Transfer the mix into a flexible, silicon loaf pan, or standard loaf pan lined with baking paper. Press it flat to remove air pockets and smooth out the top with the back of a spoon. Let it sit on your counter for at least 2 hours, or even overnight.
Bake fan-forced on 180°C (200°C for conventional oven) for 20 minutes. Remove your loaf from the pan & place it upside down directly on the oven rack to bake for another 40 minutes.
Your Saat Seed Loaf is ready when it sounds hollow when tapped. Let it cool completely before slicing – if you can resist eating it straight away!
Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Slice and store in the freezer to keep longer.

We’d worked our way through a long list of GF alternatives before landing on what would become our gluten-free seed loaf mix. But the annoying concern was always having to mix it. Weighing out the seeds, mixing it together, melting in hot oils, cleaning up the mess… At a point it becomes too much and you’re back buying from the supermarket.
Then a lightbulb moment, we can pre-pack a month worth of mixes!
No more “discussions” about who’s turn it was, or last minute “we’ve run out of chia!” moments. So we tested and tweaked the recipe, tested again and tweaked again, before landing on a blend that makes the cooking process as easy as possible. Just add water & bake!
